So I haven't posted anything new in a while. Probably because it seems like (to me at least) that I haven't had anything really exciting to write about and share. Labor day weekend brought some fun times and 3 different outings at friends houses. Saturday was the official kickoff of Buckeye football (GO O-H-I-O) and we went to Dylan and Jen's. Both Sunday and Monday we hung out over at Patricia and Hector's. Thank goodness our pools don't close after Labor Day like most, because if they did, I have NO IDEA what Owen and I would do to entertain ourselves for the next several months. There are so many days that we run in the morning, go to the pool from 9:30-11:30 and then go back again to the pool after nap and lunch from 3-6. This week I also had a great time watching the Republican National Convention and hearing the speeches of both Pallin and McCain. I really do love that Pallin so far. Also, Tuesday brought another member to the Roberts Family (entended). Chris's brother Mike and his wife Sheri welcomed their 4th child into this world, another boy, Corban 8 lbs. 10 oz. Yesterday Owen had a runny nose but we didn't think much of it. This morning he woke up with a fever and wasn't quite himself, lethargic, lack of appetite, etc. After 2 doses of Tylenol and a nap I took him to the pediatrician at 2pm. He had a fever of almost 104 when we got there and an ear infection. My poor baby boy! I just felt so bad for my sweet little angel all day- and what a long day it was:( As loud, snotty, poopy and monotonous my days can be, they are far more worthwhile than what I once enjoyed. No matter how much I sometimes miss those (quiet) days, I will miss these more. I used to wonder what I would do when I grew up and wonder at times if I indeed qualify as a "grown-up." Now, I wonder what I'm going to do when he grows up.
