Chris and I had been talking about getting Owen a pet goldfish for a couple of weeks now. He loves Elmo and Elmo has a pet goldfish named Dorothy. We actually went last weekend and almost got a tank and a fish, but wouldn't you know it, Chris and I just couldn't get our act together and agree which tank to get. I wanted the "smaller, more sleek, will look cute in the kitchen fish tank" and Chris wanted the "this one is bigger and $20 cheaper fish tank". So Saturday we went back for round two at Petsmart and this time we had success. We got the one I wanted. It's really cute, called a BiOrb. Look at the site here: http://www.biorbfishtanks.com/
Saturday we got the tank and got it all set up and let the chemicals and water sit and yesterday we put Owen's new pet fish in. The fish guy suggested that we get 3-5 smaller fish instead of 1-2 goldfish. He convinced us goldfish eat more, therefore they "mess" more and that is just more for me to clean. We got 4 little tropical guys and named them Jeff, Murray, Anthony and Sam (after The Wiggles- Owen's favorites!) And Owen is loving them so far. He just pulls his little bathroom stool up to the counter and watches them swim and tells me that they are funny.

I am willing to bet it is less than a week before the Wiggles Fish are all over the kitchen floor thank to Owen :)
