happy 32nd birthday chris

well this week started off with chris's 32nd birthday! happy birthday babe! we had a wonderful evening out. thank you to my friend karen who babysat the kids. turned out to be a pretty easy gig for her, i gave the baby a bath, fed her and had her in her crib and asleep before karen even got to the house at 6. that left her just owen to entertain and get off to bed. chris and i had a fabulous dinner at nove, which is located on the 51st floor of the palms hotel and casino. awesome dinner (a passion fruit mojito, calamari, pinot grigio and a braised beef short rib raviolli in a brown butter sauce-yum!) after dinner we hit the casino and chris quickly lost at the poker tables and i made up for what he lost by playing a monopoly shot machine. chris and i paid for our night out the next day because we were so tired. we are in bed often around 9pm, and on monday we didn't get to bed until after 1am. we also both got sick this week. i have fluid behind the ears, new allergies and a sinus infection. chris has a severe sinus infection and the flu. woohoo. you see how old we are? 1 night out and we both are sick as dogs. we are now all set on antibiotics and on our way to feeling better.

thursday owen had a valentines day party at preschool. it was adorable. he and his school friends exchanged valentine cards and goodies, decorated and ate sugar cookies and cupcakes and made their mommy's a very special valentine. it is so sweet and special. it's a round foam heart with glitter and a little hand posed in the sign language symbol for 'i love you'. i love it so much.
