trip to Vail, Colorado

I am so excited to report that Chris and I are taking a trip for our fourth wedding anniversary out to Vail, Colorado. We leave on April 4 (our anniversary is April 3rd) and will be gone Friday thru Tuesday (5 whole days away from my Owen- oh my- I am going to freak out). Now with us living in Florida it isn't easy for us to get away for a night, much less 4 of them. I look forward to the day when we have family closer by. So my sister Melissa and neice Madison are flying down to FL to stay Wednesday thru Sunday and my Mom is flying down to stay Saturday thru Wednesday. It is quite an ordeal, but none-the-less, it is all squared away, flights have been booked, etc. We are going to be staying at the Ritz-Carlton , Bachelor Gulch, which has been named by Conde Nast Travelor as one of the country's top-ranked ski resorts. I never ever would have thought that I would be so excited to get away and go somewhere cold. But when you live in Florida, where it is always warm (usually hot) and sunny, I am thinking that a little cool air will do me good and make me appreciate Florida that much more. Chris and I are going to ski, snowboard (Chris-not me- I am too clumsy), snowmobile, dogsled and spend some much needed time in the spa.

Only 3 more days until I run the Gate River Run. So excited. They are predicting a cool morning weather wise, so it will probably be ideal for running. There is going to be over 15,000 people running this thing. Wish me luck:)

Just a couple pictures. One is of Owen's new kick's. My boy's feet are big. He's wearing an 8.5 already. Yikes. But at 18 months and 30 lbs, he would look goofy with tiny feet. The other pic is of me (just kidding, it's Owen's plastic dinosaur- but really that is how I feel!) before my morning coffee.
