Saturday morning we went to the beach. It was kind of overcast which was perfect. It didn't get too hot and I wasn't worrying about Owen getting a sunburn. Chris and Owen swam (I don't really go into the ocean water past my knees) and then Owen spent a good hour or so hunting and collecting seashells. After nap and lunch we went to Target and ordered a pizza from Abe's for dinner.
Sunday was stinko. Chris left for his business trip at 9:15am Sunday morning. I hate that. I can deal with the Mon thru Fri travel- no problem- it's his job and I am used to it. But when his travel requires him to leave on a Sunday morning? Come on, enough already. Weekends, especially Sundays, are family time.
So I don't know how I got it (because I feel as if I really don't go anywhere but the pool, beach, Target and Publix) but I've got a nasty summer cold. I am very congested and when I blow my nose it doesn't do anything. I feel very run down and don't have the energy that I normally do. I need my relief pitcher to come home at the end of the day to give Owen a bath and to put Owen to bed for me- no luck with that though. Unfortunately, Chris is out of town all week in D.C. and Baltimore for his National Sales meeting prep.
Besides for my morning run (yes- I am sick- but I still have to run or I just feel even worse knowing that I skipped my workout) today is going to be pretty uneventful. Our neighborhood pools are closed on Mondays so they can "shock" them full of chemicals. It stinks. It always seems that Mondays have the very best weather for a lazy pool day. Speaking of running. Maybe it's the heat, maybe the humidity, or maybe it's just this cold I've got- but my runs have been hard. With Chris gone out of town so much lately all of my running has been with Owen in the jogger. I think it's just that it's too hot out and the stroller is too heavy for me to do a long run and not die in this Florida weather. I start "officially" training for my 1/2 marathon in another week.
Just three random pictures from this morning of Owen before we left for our run.

Oh Keri so sorry you're sick! I also run when I have a cold as long as I feel up to it. I have read it boosts the immune system. I hope this passes for you soon!
