Our good friend Cindy was in town this past weekend from Columbus (for a nieces wedding) and we were able to steal her away from her group and spend lots of quality time with her Sunday. Cindy and her husband Rich used to live directly across the street from us when we lived in Columbus, Ohio. She had not seen Owen, except in pictures and on this blog, since he was a 5 month old baby. He has changed just a little to say the least. We picked her up at 9am, went out to breakfast, spent 2 hours catching up on old times and old neighbors while Owen thankfully took an over 2 hour nap. Then we went out to lunch and after that we drove the 13 mile loop through the Red Rock Canyons. It was a gorgeous drive through there and I am really glad Chris convinced me that we should do it despite the still very hot temperatures.
