So tonight is the Rascall Flatts concert that I have been looking forward to all month. So for only like the third time ever, we have a babysitter coming over tonight to hang out with Harley dog and listen to Owen sleep on the monitor. Debbie, the babysitter, will be here at 5:45 and Owen will already be in bed. On a usual night he goes down at 6pm (and sleeps until about 7am the following morning) but since we have to be out the door at 6pm on the dot, I will put Owen down at 5:45. I don't dare run the risk of letting somebody else put him down (ocd). Therefore, he is taking an earlier than usual nap so he will be super duper tired at bedtime. I feel like having a babysitter means that I am planning 6 steps ahead all day long. The concert is going to be a great time so it's going to be worth it. After Owen's nap we are meeting Chris out for lunch.
It rained all afternoon yesterday so we were stuck inside and both Owen and I had some major cabin fever. He kept going to the back door and trying to open it, saying "outside". So finally before his bath I just let him go outside and he ran around the grass in the ran. Mind you, it was about 75 degrees out, so it's not like it was a cold or damp ran. He had the best time. Harley, on the other hand, refuses to go out in the rain. He stayed under the covered patio and didn't use the bathroom at all yesterday until the rain stopped. For a big, tough bulldog he is such a baby!
