Part of the fun in running races is the race packet stuff that you get when you go pick up your bib number for race day. Lot's of times there isn't too much to get excited about, just a cotton tshirt (and you can't run wearing cotton here in Florida most months of the year because it's too humid and cotton doesn't wick moisture) and a few flyers or small samples. Not so with the Nike+ womens half that I ran back in October. This afternoon the FedEx man delivered my package with my Nike+ Womens half marathon finisher race schwag. Pretty cool stuff. The tshirt is a technical shirt, made of that cool drifit fabric. The Tiffnay and Co. keychain is pretty neat too. Not so sure that I like the navy blue leather (wish it was like pink or purple maybe) but whatever, I'm not complaining.
Today is 2 weeks post leg procedure and I am happy to report that I am almost pain free! After Owen wakes up we are going to go run (1st run for me in over 2 weeks!) because it is a gorgeous 64 degrees out and sunny. Wish me luck!
P.S. Jacksonville Bank half marathon is 2 weeks from yesterday. Yikes.

i hope the run went well yesterday! I have been injured myself. It is awful when you can't go. Maybe you can send some of that 64 degree weather up here!! :)
